What does the Article mean in plain language?

Add eligible taxes expensed in pre-tax profit, Article 35 loss assets used, payments for previously excluded uncertain positions and other Paragraph A items. Reductions include tax on excluded income, uncertain positions, tax not expected to be paid within three years and credit adjustments under Paragraph B. Credit treatment depends on qualification, transferability and accounting presentation. Reconcile item by item to prevent duplication of a credit, refund or expense.

Before relying on the result

Is this Article enough on its own?

Usually not. Read it with the connected Law Article, definitions, any effective election and current NBR guidance, especially for an amount or deadline.

Does NBR guidance replace the Regulations?

No. Guidance explains application and supports procedures and examples, but current legislation and decisions prevail in case of inconsistency.
